Ken Bangs

Ken has spent nearly 30 years in the DFW construction industry, but he’ll be the first to tell you that his profession isn’t his identity. He views his work through a simple lens: business is about people, and people matter.

Growing up in Plano, Ken learned early on that relationships are the only metric that truly counts. That philosophy built a sterling reputation for his first company, DFW Painting, which he sold before launching DFW Roofers in 2020. With changes to Texas insurance laws, he saw that his straight-talk, blue-collar nature would stand out in an industry that often lacked transparency.

A father and husband first and a business owner second, Ken has stayed grounded by the inevitable “rollercoaster” moments that life throws everybody’s way. It’s taught him that life is a bit of a dance, but that with the right perspective, he can take two steps forward for every one step back.

That’s why, when Ken meets a homeowner, he isn’t just looking for a sale. He’s looking for a chance to help a neighbor with 30 years of experience. To him, every appointment is an opportunity to build a relationship, ensuring that families in McKinney and across DFW have a trusted partner looking out for their best interests.

Today, Ken lives in McKinney with his wife of 25 years. They’re proud parents of their two children, who are currently off pursuing their university educations at UNT and NYU.
