What the homeowner was seeing
The 18 May hailstorm dropped 1.75-inch stones across Preston Hollow. Within a week the homeowner noticed granules collecting in the downspouts and two fresh ceiling stains in the upstairs hallway.
The roof was already 19 years old and near the end of its service life, so the storm damage accelerated fast.

What the inspection actually found
We ran a full exterior and attic inspection the next morning, chalked a 10×10 test square on each slope, and documented every strike with photos and measurements for the insurance file.
The test squares confirmed storm damage well past the carrier's threshold, which moved this from a repair to a full replacement.

What we installed, and how
Full tear-off down to the deck, six sheets of decking replaced, synthetic underlayment across the whole roof, and ice-and-water shield at every valley, eave, and penetration.
The crew worked in three phases so the home was never left open overnight — dry-in was completed the same day the old roof came off.
